Welcome to our surgical practice in Löhne

— Oleg Anissimov and the practice team

Dear patients, anyone who comes to see a surgeon usually has pain, worries or unanswered questions. That is why we take time for a proper conversation, listen to your concerns and tailor diagnosis and treatment to your individual situation.

We use proven and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Minimally invasive means smaller incisions and, as a rule, less strain on your body. Our main concern is helping you get well again.

Our main areas of surgery

Today, a hospital stay is often no longer necessary. We perform many procedures as day surgery (outpatient surgery): you recover briefly with us and then go home with a companion – back to familiar surroundings.

Our range of surgical treatments

Alongside general, abdominal (visceral), paediatric, hand and soft-tissue surgery, we also perform complex minimally invasive laparoscopic operations. After the procedure we look after your wound and follow-up care – everything under one roof.

Abdomen & hernias

  • Diagnostic laparoscopy (keyhole examination of the abdomen)
  • Inguinal hernia (groin hernia)
  • Umbilical hernia, incisional hernia and other abdominal wall hernias
  • Releasing abdominal adhesions (adhesiolysis)

Rectum & anus

  • Haemorrhoids
  • Perianal haematoma (perianal vein thrombosis)
  • Anal fissure and anal skin tags
  • Anal fistula and anal polyp
  • Pilonidal sinus

Hand & joints

  • Ganglion cyst
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Bursa removal (bursectomy)

Skin & soft tissue

  • Removal of suspicious moles
  • Skin tumours, e.g. basal cell carcinoma
  • Epidermoid/sebaceous cyst (atheroma) and lipoma
  • Warts and abscesses
  • Ingrown toenail

How outpatient surgery works at our practice

  1. Examination

We examine you – with ultrasound or digital X-ray right here in the practice if needed – and establish whether an operation is actually necessary.

  2. Consultation

Oleg Anissimov personally explains the procedure, what is special about it and its risks – and whether local or general anaesthesia makes sense for you.

  3. Preparation

If necessary, preliminary tests are done beforehand to check for possible risks. You receive clear instructions on what to do before and after the day of your operation.

  4. Surgery & aftercare

After the procedure you rest in the recovery room and then go home with a companion. We take care of wound checks and follow-up treatment.
